#2 Always Be Ready

The Apostle Paul was writing from a Roman prison. Every night when he went to sleep he had to be ready to die the next morning, and every morning when he woke up he had to be ready to live another day in that filthy prison cell. Because Jesus Christ was being preached both inside and outside of that prison, he could write these words. “… Christ is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice. Yes, and I will rejoice (Philippians 1:18b)."

What was his secret?  How could he be so full of joy? He was always ready!
